The Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao (CGDSWM), has supported the joint maritime security training exercise in Southwestern Mindanao yesterday, 15 April 2024.

Initiated by the Headquarters Naval Forces Western Mindanao (HNFWM), the training exercise aimed to increase the operational Joint Interagency Task Force interdependence, integration, and interoperability (JIATF-I3) of the Philippines within the WESMINCOM area of operations.

CGDSWM Commander, CG Commodore Marco Antonio Gines, said the initiative played a vital role in promoting collaboration and enhancing capabilities to address a wide range of maritime security challenges to achieve global maritime safety and stability.
