The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Sorsogon has recognized the Coast Guard Station (CGS) Sorsogon headed by CG Captain Julian Bayawa Jr, for their successful operations in combating illegal drug activities in the province.

Based on Resolution No. 129-2024, the Board commended law enforcement authorities that ensured the well-coordinated conduct of the buy-bust operation which led to the confiscation of πŽπ•π„π‘ 𝐏𝐇𝐏 𝟏𝟐.πŸ” πŒπˆπ‹π‹πˆπŽπ π–πŽπ‘π“π‡ πŽπ… πˆπ‹π‹π„π†π€π‹ 𝐃𝐑𝐔𝐆𝐒 and arrest of two suspects in Matnog on 23 March 2024.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Sorsogon said the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and other concerned government agencies exhibited a united action in line with the Provincial Government’s vision in keeping peace and order in Sorsogon.

Coast Guard District Bicol (CGDBCL) Commander, CG Commodore Philipps Soria, acknowledged the valuable service of the CGS Sorsogon and Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Matnog, headed by CG Ensign Joeweskie Sarza, for ensuring maritime safety and public security, upholding maritime laws, combatting illegal drugs, and performing Coast Guard mandates within their area of responsibility (AOR).
