The Coast Guard Sea Marshal Unit South Western Mindanao together with Coast Guard Station Western Sulu and PNP Maritime Group had confiscated six (6) Boxes containing fifty (50) reams and five (5) covered with sacks containing seventy (70) reams of platinum brand cigarettes with estimated value of PHP 744,999 on board RoRo / Passenger Vessel upon inventory and documentation on 28 June 2024.

Immediately, the duty Sea Marshal alongside Coast Guard Station Western Sulu and PNP Maritime Group initiated the disposition of the said illegal cigarettes and were turned over to the Bureau of Customs (BOC) on 01 1020H July 2024.

Moreover, the Coast Guard Sea Marshal Force remains dedicated in enhancing security measures and ensuring the utmost safety of passenger vessels.
