The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has seized Php 61 million worth of shabu at Allen Port, Northern Samar, on 08 August 2024.

The Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas (CGDEV) said the items were found inside an abandoned luggage and was positively identified by the Forensic Unit of Northern Samar as "Methamphetamine Hydrochloride."

Upon coordination with the shipping management for the CCTV footage, the PCG team identified the courier of the illegal drugs, followed by the interception of the suspect.

The illegal drugs were turned over to Philippine National Police (PNP) in Allen, Northern Samar, while the suspect remains under the custody of Allen Municipal Police Station.
