Newly promoted Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Rear Admiral Joeven L Fabul took his oath before Department of Transportation - Philippines (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista during a ceremony held in Mandaluyong yesterday, 12 August 2024.
The ceremony was followed by an arrival honors for CG Rear Admiral Fabul at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila.
CG Rear Admiral Fabul is currently the Commander of Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information Systems Command (CGWCEISC). He previously served two Commandants as the Chief of Coast Guard Staff to include the current Commandant of the PCG. He was also assigned as the Commander of the Coast Guard Logistics Systems Command (CGLSC) and Coast Guard Finance Service (CGFS).
Prior to his Command designations, he was entrusted to lead various major positions such as the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Comptrollership (CG-6); Chief of Staff, Coast Guard Fleet; Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Civil Relations Service (CG-7); Commander, Coast Guard Procurement Service; Secretary of Coast Guard Staff; Assistant Chief of Staff for Navigational Safety (CG-10); Commander, Coast Guard Station Sorsogon; and Commander, Coast Guard Station Butuan.
His early stage of naval career was served onboard BRP Tirad Pass (SAR 100), BRP Agusan (PG-61), and BRP Bessang Pass (SAR-75).
