The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) evacuated 14 families in Sitio Lumintao, Barangay Malawaan, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, on 14 September 2024.

The Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL) said the initiative was part of ongoing efforts to ensure the safety of residents in vulnerable areas due to southwest monsoon enhanced by Tropical Storm "Bebinca.”

The MDRRMO-Rizal, Philippine National Police-Maritime Group (PNP-MG), and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Rizal also assisted in the disaster response initiative.

The joint evacuation team established a tender line to facilitate safe passage across the river.

The evacuees were brought to Lumintao Elementary School for temporary shelter and further support from the LGU.
