Coast Guard District Southwestern Mindanao (CGDSWM) Commander, Commodore Marco Antonio Gines PCG, took an active role in the Third Quarter CY 2024 Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC)-IX Meeting in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, on 30 September 2024.

Zamboanga Sibugay Governor Dulce Ann Hofer, who also serves as the RPOC Chairperson, presided over the event that further demonstrated the national government’s commitment to fostering regional security and peace.

According to the CGDSWM, the assembly showcased a unified government response, where the combined efforts of the military, police, anti-drug agencies, and the PCG have formed an unbreakable front.

“As the region moves forward, buoyed by this renewed collaboration, the vision of a secure, peaceful, and progressive Mindanao is not just an aspiration—it is within reach,” the District emphasized.
