The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has seized a motor vessel allegedly involved in fuel pilferage (locally known as “paihi”) in the vicinity waters of Barangay Binuangan, Obando, Bulacan on 08 October 2024.

While conducting a maritime patrol at around 10PM, personnel from Coast Guard Station Manila sighted a motor vessel, TJR 3, with eight Filipino crew on board.

During the boarding inspection, Coast Guard Station Manila Law Enforcement Team found out that the motor vessel had no pertinent documents and carried alleged pilfered / smuggled fuel.

Utilizing diesel fast craft, DF-302, the Coast Guard team towed TJR 3 towards Pier 18, Vitas, Tondo, Manila, for further investigation.
