The Coast Guard Station Romblon has helped in planting over 6,500 propagules during the joint mangrove rehabilitation and coastal green belt zone establishment activity at Barangay Li-o, Romblon, Romblon, yesterday, 18 October 2024.

The activity, initiated by the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and the Municipal and Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), aimed to protect Romblon’s coastal ecosystems, enhance biodiversity, and mitigate the effects of climate change.

The operational control units of CGS Romblon also took part in the marine environmental protection initiative, along with the Office of the Municipal Mayor, Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), PNP Maritime Group, and Romblon LGU.
