Cadet Second-class Arlyn Bangsoy, from Sagada, Mountain Province, began her journey with her time as a cadet at the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy - PMMAOfficial (PMMA).

Afterwards, she applied at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) from 2021 to 2022.

Being in the Academy, she said she appreciated the people, the friendships, and community who had made an impact in her journey.

She also loved sharing the unique geography of the Philippines and how each province has its own distinct culture, accent, and dialect.

After graduation, Bangsoy shared she looks forward to having a family trip, where she can create lasting memories with her loved ones.
