A total of 158 sea turtles were successfully released at Barangay Puting Buhangin, San Juan, Batangas, and 98 turtles were also simultaneously released at Barangay Bignaydos in Sariaya, Quezon, yesterday, 09 January 2025.

The Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog (CGDSTL) actively participated in the 512th Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron’s sea turtle hatchling release activity, marking a key milestone in marine life conservation efforts.

This conservation initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Coast Guard Station Batangas, Coast Guard Sub Station San Juan, CGDSTL Veterinary and Dental Services, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources San Juan, De La Salle Lipa, and local communities.

Special thanks are extended to Brother Philippines Inc., whose generous support was instrumental in the success of the event.

During the event, Auxiliary Commander Andres Luistro delivered an inspiring message emphasizing the importance of collective action in protecting marine life to ensure the survival of sea turtles and the preservation of our marine ecosystems for future generations.
