He was called to active duty in the Philippine Navy (PN) and was assigned to different PN ships finishing the Executive Officer Billet prior joining the PCG in 1996.

Upon his assumption, this Command has conducted numerous summit activities which resulted into the creation of policy procedures. One of his visions, a remarkable conclusion to the year 2024, MARSLEC had met the International Standard as ISO Certified that offers a framework to operate efficiently and effectively. This has become successful through his unwavering guidance and support to the men and women of MARSLEC.

He is an advocate of continuing education and he finished two post graduate degrees; Master’s in Public Administration at the Mindanao State University, Marawi City and Masters of Science in Maritime Affairs major in Maritime Safety and Environment Protection at the World Maritime University, Malmo, Sweden.
