Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG presided over the donning and oath taking ceremony of the newly promoted and appointed members of the PCG Auxiliary at the National Headquarters, Port Area, Manila on July 29, 2025.

President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., fully supports the increasing number of PCGA for they continuously exemplify meritorious conduct and extraordinary accomplishments in support to PCG’s maritime security operations, humanitarian assistance activities, and disaster relief and recovery efforts.

During the said activity, four PCGA members were promoted to the rank of Auxiliary Rear Admiral, to include:

- Auxiliary Rear Admiral Jose Emery Roble PCGA;

- Auxiliary Rear Admiral Lorenzo Kilayko PCGA;

- Auxiliary Rear Admiral Dominic Salazar PCGA; and

- Auxiliary Rear Admiral Alvin Aguillon PCGA

Moreover, Auxiliary Captain Roy Salud PCGA was also promoted to the next higher rank as Auxiliary Commodore.

Meanwhile, Director III of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), Director Caesar Agnir Jr., was appointed as new PCGA member and took oath in the rank of Auxiliary Commodore.

In his speech, Admiral Gavan PCG expressed his deepest appreciation for the promotees and appointee for tireless efforts in advancing the mission of the PCGA and reaffirmed their role in enhancing the national security and protection of the country's maritime and coastal resources.

The ceremony further highlighted the unwavering commitment of the PCGA in its vital support to the PCG, especially in strengthening efforts towards the accomplishment of PCG’s mandated functions.
