Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Sub – Station in San Juan continuously search for the missing fisherman along the waters off San Juan, Southern Leyte since 21 February 2020.

The fisherman was identified as 48-year old Armando Buling, a resident of Barangay San Vicente, San Juan, Southern Leyte.

According to the initial report, Buling went on a fishing venture onboard his motorbanca on 20 February 2020 and failed to return home.

Around 03:00 – 04:00 p.m. of 21 February 2020, his motorbanca was seen dead on water approximately 100 meters from the shoreline of Barangay Candayoman, Liloan, Southern Leyte.

While conducting continuous search and retrieval operation, the PCG has advised nearby coastal barangays to be on the lookout for the missing fisherman and if sighted, report to the nearest PCG unit for necessary assistance.
