Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Sub-Station in Talisay recovered the body of a local fisherman who drowned along the vicinity waters off Sta. Maria, Batangas this morning, 21 March 2020.

According to initial report, 30-year-old Rodrigo Ornales Jr. drowned while on a fishing venture at around 02:00 p.m. yesterday, 20 March 2020.

The search and rescue (SAR) operation conducted by PCG Sub-Station – Talisay, together with the Special Operations Unit – Farola and Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog, ended at 07:36 a.m. when Ornales’ body was brought to the nearest shoreline.

The cadaver was turned-over to the Talisay Police Station for proper disposition.
