The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District in North Eastern Mindanao conducted a four-day water search and rescue (WASAR) training at Barangay Ipil, Surigao City on 01 - 04 December 2020.

The training equipped PCG personnel with water rescue techniques and basic life support that are necessary for immediate response in any maritime incident.

The participants also learned about underwater knot tying and one-mile swimming to enhance their endurance and proficiency during search and rescue operations.
