βAs future executive leaders and commanding officers of the Coast Guard fleet, groom and develop your junior officers and crew by creating opportunities to capacitate them with specific specializations. Always pay attention to navigation and mind the weather. Maintain the upkeep of your ship in every port that you visit. Most of all, be confident and professional at all times,β Vice Admiral Laroya said.
The PCG Deputy Commandant for Operations further reminded the graduates to become efficient and disciplined PCG ambassadors for maritime law enforcement, maritime safety, maritime security, maritime search and rescue, and marine environmental protection.
