This is the reminder of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Commandant, Admiral George V Ursabia Jr to the trainees who composed the newest class of the Coast Guard Officer's Course (CGOC) during the commencement of the ten-month rigid training at the Coast Guard Regional Training Center in Bagac, Bataan on 21 December 2020.

"You are the future of the Coast Guard. Hence, as early as now, we want you to be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to remain steadfast and normal — physically, mentally, psychologically, and spiritually —  for it is you who are expected to serve the Filipino people with HUMILITY and COMPASSION in times of uncertainties," Admiral Ursabia said.

"We should be there for the public that we are expected to serve. We should empathize with them, understand their situation, and be able to extend our helping hands, not only as Coast Guardians, but most especially as persons, in the name of God," Admiral Ursabia added.

Moreover, the Coast Guard Commandant expressed his full trust to the instructors who will guide and mentor the trainees towards becoming genuine PCG — PATRIOTIC to the motherland, COMPASSIONATE to the people they serve, and GOD-FEARING.

To conclude, Admiral Ursabia thanked the families and parents of the trainees for allowing their loved ones to become instruments of God in serving the nation and the Filipino people through the PCG.
