PCG: Senator Richard Gordon and Doctor James Dy, both Rear Admiral officers of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, formally took their oath as newly promoted Vice Admiral (VADM) in a frocking ceremony held at the National Headquarters yesterday, February 8, 2018.

Admiral Elson E Hermogino, PCG commandant led the donning and oath taking ceremony of Senator Gordon, Dr Dy and eight other senior officers of the Auxiliary.

The Commandant sworn in Commodore Ronald A Baja, Commodore Ernesto T Echauz , and Commodore Edgardo P Idquival as Auxiliary Rear Admiral while Captain Junmar A Roa, Captain Ariel T Cayanan, Captain Edmundo T Sison , and Captain Mario U Rabang took their oath as Auxiliary Commodore. Commander Joy C Puno was promoted to the rank of Captain.

The event was attended by PCG officers, regular PCGA Squadron, Executive Squadron and CRS Special Support Squadron.
