The managing director of AJA Philippines, Mr Paul B Bagatsing formally handed-over the registration certificate of the Philippine Coast Guard on International Organization for Standardization 9001:2015 to the PCG Commandant, Admiral Elson E Hermogino at PCG National Headquarters, on 20 February 2019.

The standard focuses on a number of quality management principles including strong customer focus, the motivation and direction of the top management across all levels in the organization, the better process approaches and framework for continual improvement which will equip the PCG in providing best services for its stakeholders.

During the transition activities for the 2nd semester of 2018 from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015, Lieutenant Roxanne Natividad PCG headed the Quality Management Team.

Admiral Elson E Hermogino was joined by the Deputy Commandant for Operations, Vice Admiral Rolando D Legaspi; Chief of Coast Guard Staff, Commodore Eduardo D Fabricante; Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Comptrollership, Commodore Juan Manuel DF Ramos Jr; and the head of offices from various NHQ-PCG Staff Units.
