PCG: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Zamboanga successfully confiscated illegal drugs inside Zamboanga Integrated Port, Zamboanga City last March 7.

CGS Zamboanga personnel together with CGK-9 Zamboanga and elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Zamboanga Police Station 6 conducted joint buy-bust operation at the said port.

The operation led to the arrest of Jeanelyn Sinining, a resident of Brgy. Upper Calarin, Zambonga City and recovery of 13 medium sizes and one large size of heated sealed transparent plastic containing “shabu” with a total of more or less 82 grams and with estimated value of Php 557,000.00. According to the suspect, it came from one of the passenger of the passenger cargo Motor Vessel Bounty Cruiser that arrived in Port of Zamboanga City from Jolo, Sulu.

Upon the termination of the operation, the suspect was put under the custody of SDEU of Zamboanga Police Station 6 together with the seized illegal drugs.
