More than 200 veterans, guests and participants sailed off onboard PCG vessels for the wreath-laying ceremony honoring Filipino veterans in Commemoration of the 77th Araw ng Kagitingan and Philippine Veterans Week in Corregidor on April 7.

BRP Malabrigo (MRRV 4402), BRP Cape Engaño (MRRV 4411) and BRP Kalanggaman (FPB 2402) ferried the said guests from Pier 13, South Harbor, Manila to Corregidor Island and vice-versa.

Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat of the Department of Tourism together with Commander Airland Lapitan, Commander Coast Guard Station Corregidor, spearheaded the said activity in coordination with the Technical Working Committee of 2019 Philippine Veterans’ Week and Araw ng Kagitingan.
