PCG: Quick Response Team of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Baybay rescued nine beachgoers onboard an aluminum boat drifted at approximately 800 meters off Baybay City, Leyte last Sunday, 07 April.

Mrs. Marites A Modina, resident of Baybay City, Leyte saw the drifted aluminum boat and immediately reported the incident to CGSS Baybay.

As per interview with Chester Bagua, one of the survivors, they were venturing off waters when they encountered strong current causing their aluminum boat to be drifted away from the shoreline.

All rescued beachgoers are now in good physical condition.
