Β The Philippine Coast Guard rendered a retirement ceremony in honor of Captain Peregrino E Balestramon PCG (DSC) as he retires from the Coast Guard service effective 22 April 2019 at the PCG National Headquarters.

Captain Balestramon was designated as the Commander of Philippine Coast Guard Headquarters Support Group from October 2016 to April 2019. He rendered 12 years of valuable service to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and 24 years in the Philippine Coast Guard.

The retiree hailed from Salamento Caluya Antique. He is a member of Naval Officer Qualification Course Class 140-1996.

He is a loving husband of his wife Juana and supportive father of his 5 sons namely Raymond, Richard, Julius Ceasar, John Paul, and Mark Andrew.

The retirement ceremony was subsequently followed by turn-over ceremony wherein Captain Nelbert P Aniversario PCG, former Deputy Commander of Coast Guard District Bicol assumed the duties and responsibilities as the new Headquarters Support GroupΒ  Commander.
