Law enforcement authorities from the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency, Bureau of Customs, Philippine Coast Guard, Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police successfully recovered one billion peso  worth of shabu from  a warehouse in Malabon City last May 22,2019.

The 146 kilogram of illegal drugs , retrieved from the Godwin Commercial Warehouse in Malabon, was believed to have been smuggled into the country from Cambodia with the Golden Triangle drug syndicate as the culprit. 

The drug haul was a product of tedious intelligence and surveillance operations led by PDEA that started last February 13 with a seizure of 1.9 billion worth of shabu in Tanza Cavite. The authorities during the follow up operations, was alerted that said group was expecting a shipment of illegal drugs concealed in tapioca starch.

The authorities found the shipment abandoned in Malabon   City with the drugs concealed in aluminum pallets.

Meanwhile, PCG Commandant Admiral Elson Hermogino, lauded Coast Guard Task Force Aduana, for their participation in the joint operation.  The Task Force Aduana, headed by Captain Allen Dalangin, was organized to support the President’s campaign against illegal drugs activities in the country. The unit, composed of personnel from the Maritime Security Command, National Capital Region, K9, EOD and Special Operation Force, is also operating in collaboration with  the BOC law enforcement division against smuggling activities in the country.
