YORKTOWN, Virginia (01 July 2019)-Petty Officer Third Class Elmer M Belostrino PCG and Seaman Second Class Don L Manuel PCG completed the Machinery Technicians “A” School Course at Engineering and Weapons Schools in Yorktown, Virginia last 28 June 2019.

The class is composed of 21 students, 19 from United States Coast Guard and two students from the PCG.

The 13-week course is designed for every Coast Guard personnel in preparation to become instructor and machinery technician in their future career.

The training allows the participants to be fully equipped and knowledgeable in operation maintenance, and repair of machinery such as hand and machine tools, hydraulics, internal combustion engine, outboard engines, diesel engine overhaul, lubrication, cooling and fuel system, basic electricity and electrical equipment, auxiliary machinery, refrigeration, clutches gears, shafting as well as boat trailers.
