MANILA, Philippines (14 October 2019)-  A battalion sized arrival honors was rendered to the Korea Coast Guard (KCG) Training Ship “Badaro” contingents  headed by the President of KCG Academy, Senior Superintendent General Ko Myung Suk as they arrived at the Pier 15 South Harbor in Manila for a goodwill visit  to the Philippine Coast Guard this morning,  October 14.

KCG 3011 “Badaro” is a training vessel with a total of 130 cadets onboard. The said friendly visit aims to nurture the bilateral relationship and partnership between the PCG and KCG. This is also in line with the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Republic of Korea. It also intends to promote mutual exchange and support to further the longstanding ties between the two countries and the two coastguards.

KCG contingents are scheduled for a visit to PCG’s facilities such as PCG Command Center, National Coast Watch Center, CGK9 Unit and exchange visits to the two coastguard vessels.

Aside from the visit, a basketball game will be facilitated between PCG and KCG participants.
