SULU and SIBUGAY, Philippines. (20 October 2019)- The Philippine Coast Guard held a send-off ceremony for the deployment of Coast Guard Anti-Terrorist Unit under Southwestern Mindanao with PCG's floating assets to Sulu and Sibugay provinces last 17 October.

Lieutenant General Cirilito E Sobejana AFP, Commander of AFP Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM), graced the ceremony as guest of honor.

This deployment is in response to the request of the AFP WESMINCOM to increase floating assets in said provinces in order to help the ongoing rescue operations to Hyrons couple kidnap case.

Also, Commander of WESMINCOM has committed to help PCG in its intensification campaign (Oplan Linis Layag) of Safety Security and Environmental Numbering System especially to those identified high security risk areas.
