MANILA, Philippines. (23 October 2019) β The Office of the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Maritime Security Services (CG-14) conducted a seminar on Maritime Security and Law Enforcement attended by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel from Coast Guard Districts and selected Operational Units at the Multipurpose Hall, Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Main Office, Manila last 18 October.
This seminar aims toΒ equip PCG personnel with adequate knowledge and understanding in effecting arrest while in the conduct of maritime law enforcement operations.
Among the speaker are Police Lieutenant Colonel Giovanni Hyacinth Caliao from Philippine National Police, Judge Remiebel Mondia of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 45 of Pasay City and Jail Superintendent Fermin Rodorendo Enriquez from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology who shared their expertise in Booking Procedures of Arrested Persons/Suspects, Effecting Warrantless Arrest and Commitment of Arrested Person respectively. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Switle Mae Tamang PCG of the Coast Guard Legal Service discussed the proper presentation of case.
