SIATON POINT, NEGROS ORIENTAL – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) personnel of Multi-Role Response Vessel (MRRV) 4406, BRP Suluan, have rescued four crew members of a distressed barge that was dragged due to strong currents in the waters off Siaton Point, Negros Oriental yesterday, 28 November 2019.

After ensuring that the rescued individuals were all in good physical condition, the PCG personnel towed the troubled barge to the nearest bay for sheltering and repair.

BRP Suluan was conducting its regular maritime patrol when it was alerted about the drifting of said barge since night of 26 November 2019.
