The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has successfully assisted a pregnant mother and her family through a medical evacuation in Capul Island, Northern Samar on 02 December 2019.

Christian Leon Magloyuan, resident of Barangay 4, Capul Island, sought the help of PCG for the immediate transport of his wife, Liezel Magloyuan, who was already suffering intense pains due to her scheduled delivery.

Immediately, PCG personnel in Northern Samar coordinated with the local government unit of Capul Island to use the service motorbanca for the transport of said patient and her family from Capul Island to Victoria Port in Victoria, Northern Samar where the nearest hospital is located.

PCG Northern Samar personnel safely transported the Magloyuan family to Victoria Port where they were transferred to a land vehicle manned by another PCG personnel.

The family was then brought to Allen District Hospital in Kinabranan 2, Allen, Northern Samar where Mrs. Magloyuan was turned-over to the duty attending physician for her needed medical attention.
