PCG: Personnel of Coast Guard Mobile Team (CGMT) Malatapay/Apo Island successfully rescued and assisted three persons onboard an unidentified motor banca last February 23 at the vicinity waters of Siquijor and Apo Island, Dauin Negros Oriental.

Information received by the Coast Guard Sub-station (CGSS) Siaton personnel that said motor banca encountered engine trouble causing her to be dead on water while on a fishing venture. Immediately, CGSS Siation personnel coordinated with CGMT Malatapay/Apo Island personnel for search and rescue operations. 

The SAR team successfully rescued the three persons onboard namely: Romel Gramatoca, 30 years old; Romeo Gramatica 28 y/o; and Martin Alegria, 48 y/o, all residents of Brgy. Masaplod Sur, Dauin, Negros Oriental. The said team also provided assistance in the towing operations of the motor banca. The rescued persons were in good physical condition while the towed motor banca was secured in the Apo Island.
