PCG: The personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Talicud have successfully conducted a medical evacuation to a certain Stephanie Hyacinth I. Gevila, a 32 year old resident of Mambago-A, Igacos, Davao Del Norte and tour organizer of Motor Banca “Joperson 5” who was suffering from difficulty in breathing at the Babusanta Beach Resort in Talicud Island, Davao Del Norte last Friday, February 23.

The Coast Guard received a call around 11:40 AM of the said date from Mr. Dodong Genita, Boat Captain of said motor banca requesting for a medical assistance and evacuation for Ms Gevila.  Immediately, CGS Davao coordinated with the Search and Rescue (SAR) Team from CGSS Talicud together with Coast Guard Medical-South Eastern Mindanao (CGMED-SEM) who proceeded at the said beach resort to render necessary medical assistance to the ailing tour organizer. 

At 12:45 PM, the PCG SAR team arrived at Sta. Ana Pier together with the victim and immediately brought her to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) for further medical treatment.
