PCG: Personnel of Coast Guard Station Western Samar successfully retrieved the cadaver of the reported missing fisherman near Darahiway Dako Island today, March 20.

The victim was identified as Mr Bernardo Iso, 47 years old and a resident of Brgy. Bioso, Zumarraga, Samar who was reported missing from a fishing venture since Sunday.

Investigation revealed that Mr. Iso accidentally touched the live wire connecting the island of Darahoway Dako to the Catbalogan Power Grid causing him to get electrocuted and fall overboard.

The station received an information early this morning that a cadaver was seen floating near Darahiway Dako Island.  SAR team immediately proceeded to the area and conducted retrieval operations.

The team successfully retrieved and brought the cadaver to Cabalogan City. The relatives of Mr. Iso positively identified the cadaver as Bernardo Iso and brought him home for proper disposition.
