PCG: Coast Guard Rescue Team in Tawi Tawi today rescued a Chinese crew after suffering an epilepsy attack while their vessel MV China Peace was transiting the waters near Laparan Island in Pangutaran, Sulu.   PCG Action Center in Manila was alerted of the incident yesterday and directed PCG South Western Mindanao to deploy vessel to rendezvous with the Chinese Cargo vessel near Pearl Bank in Tawi Tawi.

BRP Malabrigo with medical team onboard was sent to the area and attended to Mr Zheng Le, the ailing crew of MV China Peace. He was subsequently transferred to BRP Malabrigo and was brought to Zamboanga City for proper medical attention.

Meanwhile, the Chinese vessel proceeded to Australia while PCG is coordinating with Chinese embassy and the ship’s local agent for the proper disposition of the patient.
