PCG: Elements of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cuyo together with Coast Guard K9, Coast Guard Marine Environmental Protection Unit and Cuyo Municipal Police confiscated illegal substance in Amanpulo Resort, Pamalican Island, Palawan last May 3.

Report received from a certain Ms Audeline Witjaksono, General Manager of Amanpulo Resort revealed that a suspicious package was sighted by the roving security guard being washed up on the shoreline along Villa 1 Master Casita of the said resort while conducting routine inspection.

Immediately, the package which was securely sealed in a transparent plastic sachet was retrieved and brought to CGS Cuyo by the security officer for further examination.

The team inspected the package and sniffed by Coast Guard K9 “Beasy”. The white powdery substance with approximately 1.054 kilogram was revealed to be as cocaine.

The item was turned-over to Municipal Police Station of Cuyo for proper disposition.
