PCG: Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Caluya successfully towed motor banca β€œBernadeth” that encountered engine trouble while underway bound to Brgy. Semirara at vicinity waters of Sitio Bolo, Brgy. Tinugbok, Antique last Monday, 14 May.

Upon receipt of report from Mrs. Bernadeth Madarcos Calinog, the owner of the said motor banca, the CGSS Caluya coordinated with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) Caluya and CGSS Semirara and conducted Search and Rescue (SAR) operation onboard Aluminum Boat (AB)-172

During the SAR operation, the said team was able to locate the motor banca with six passengers onboard together with the skipper, Captain Juvenil Calinog, who were all found to be in good physical condition. Subsequently, the said M/bca was towed enroute to Brgy. Poblacion, Caluya of the said province.

Investigation revealed that while underway the main engine of the said motor banca was saturated with water.
