PCG: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Aurora together with Coast Guard Sub Station (CGSS) Baler retrieved the cadaver of Mr. Gerardo Injente Y Hidalgo, 53-year old resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Pingit, Baler, Aurora, who was reportedly drowned while on a fishing venture at the vicinity waters off Brgy. Zabali of the said province last Monday, 21 May.

Upon receipt of the report from Mr. Abraham Ramos Y Patac, CGS Aurora coordinated with CGSS Baler together with Mr. Ramos and conducted Search and Rescue (SAR) operations onboard Aluminum Boat (AB)402.

While conducting search, the team sighted and immediately retrieved a cadaver who was later identified as the victim, Mr. Hidalgo.

Investigation revealed that while on a fishing venture, the victim jumped into the sea and failed to re surface.

The cadaver was properly turned-over to Philippine National Police (PNP) Baler and was brought to Baler Memorial Homes for proper disposition.
