PCG: Elements of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Central Tawi-Tawi successfully conducted medical evacuation to the ailing Chinese national onboard Motor Tanker “Dapeng Sun” at vicinity waters of Southwest of Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi last June 19.

Said vessel was bound for Australia from China.

Information received from Coast Guard Action Center in Manila revealed that one crew of said vessel suffered severe abdominal pain and requested an immediate assistance.

Immediately, personnel of CGS Central Tawi-Tawi coordinated with Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office for a joint medical evacuation. The team arrived at the rendezvous area and successfully transferred the patient to PCG speed boat. The patient who was identified to be Mr Zuang Lei, 29 year-old male, was then brought to Datu Halun Sakilan Hospital for immediate medical attention.

The Motor Tanker “Dapeng Sun” is a Hong Kong registered vessel with 35 crew onboard.
