Personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Negros Oriental assisted motorbanca “Golden Moon-IV” as its engine malfunctioned trouble at vicinity waters off Siquijor and Dumaguete City yesterday, June 26.
The report was received by Coast Guard District Southern Visayas Operations Center from Mr Gilbert Bayolita, boat captain of distress motorbanca.
Upon receiving the report, CGD Southern Visayas immediately directed CGS Negros and DF-300 to proceed to the area to conduct search and rescue operations.
MB “Golden Moon-IV”, with its four crew onboard including its boat captain was bound to General Santos City from Tubigon, Bohol.
The rescue team then towed the motorbanca to Dumaguete Port and advised the boat captain to file marine protest.
