PCG: Joint team composed of Coast Guard Station Sual together with Marine Environmental Protection Unit North Western Luzon (MEPU-NWLZN) apprehended a fisherman conducting illegal fishing at vicinity waters near Team Energy Power Plant,Sual, Pangasinan yesterday, July 16.

While conducting inspection in fish cages on mari-culture zone in Sual, the team sighted a person onboard unnamed motorbanca painted with blue color.

The PCG team decided to inspect the activity of said boat and upon verification the said person was allegedly conducting actual fishing by means of air compressor. The Coast Guard immediately apprehended the fisherman identified as Mr. Ricky Bolito, 34 years old and a resident of Bolinao, Pangasinan

Mr. Bolito was turned over to the custody of Sual Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO). He will face charges of violating Municipal Fisheries Ordinance, Section 90 and 101 of Sual otherwise known as the “Use of Compressor Fishing and Fishing without License and Permit”.
