The Office of the Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Maritime Security Services (CG-14) headed by Commander Glenda T Pereyra PCG initiated a seminar on Procedures on Warrantless Arrest and Booking of Arrested Persons/Suspects attended by PCG personnel from Coast Guard Districts, Operational and Admin Support Units at the AG New World Manila Bay Hotel, Manila, last 10 August.

This is to equip PCG personnel with adequate knowledge and understanding in effecting arrest while in the conduct of law enforcement operations.

Judge Remie Mondia of the Metropolitan Trial Court Branch 45, Jail Superintendent Fermin Enriquez from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, and Police Superintendent Giovanni Caliao from Philippine National Police were invited to share their expertise in Criminal Procedure, Booking of Arrested Persons/Suspects and Commitment of Criminals to Detention Cells, respectively. Meanwhile, PCG Legal Officer discussed proper presentation of case.
