Immediately, personnel of CGSS Sta. Ana proceeded to the said area to conduct search and rescue operation. Upon arrival thereat, only the boat captain was found on the said motorboat. Accordingly,the passengers were already rescued by a passing motorboat and were safely brought to the shoreline of Anguib Beach.

The team proceeded to the Anguib Beach to check the condition of the passengers and immediately provided first aid for those who suffered minor abrasions.

The motorboat operator, Mr. Hortaleza, disclosed that while they were underway to Gotan Beach, big waves suddenly hit the port side of their motorboat lifting the outrigger that caused it to capsize.
