PCG: Personnel of Coast Guard Sub-Station Sindangan conducted medical evacuation of an ailing crew of a Motor Tanker “Palo Alto” at vicinity waters off Sindangan Bay in Zamboanga del Norte last Sunday, November 04.

The crew was identified as Eric Aguasito, 35 years old, male, married and a resident of Brgy. Dela Peña, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo City, suffered difficulty in breathing and injury on his right thigh and right hand.

According to the report, the victim hit a pipe valve due to the strong wave while the tanker was underway along Zamboanguita Point.

The tanker was skippered by Capt Eduardo Capalar enroute to Bauan, Batangas.

The team immediately made coordination with the vessel and successfully transported the crew to Sindangan Hospital for medical treatment.
