The Philippine Coast Guard represented by the Coast Guard Officers’ Course (CGOC), Class 22-2017 “Bravo” was honored to join the prestige AFP Silent Drill Competition at Lapu - Lapu Grandstand, GHQ, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City last Wednesday, December 19.

Said competition was part of the 83rd anniversary celebration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and was graced by the Commander General Headquarters and Head Service Command AFP, Brigadier General John Dominic P. Pulido AFP,.

Amongst the competitors were drillers from AFP, Philippine Navy and Philippine Air Force for the Major Service Division Category and Philippine Merchant Marine Academy, Philippine National Police Academy, Philippine Military Academy, Philippine Air Force Candidate School (PAFOCS) and Coast Guard Officers Course for Service Academies Category.

This is the first time that the Philippine Coast Guard participated in such competition and was able to stood equally with the well-seasoned drillers from renowned academies in the country.

In the end, the Navy-Marines and PNPA won in their respective categories.
