Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Hinigaran conducted a search and rescue operations for two fishermen onboard F/B Ramil who went missing at vicinity waters of Sipalay City, Negros Occidental and Cagayancillo, Palawan last February 14.

The two fishermen were identified as Jezrel Valencia, 32 years old and Dolatoy Sumde, 27 years old, both residents of Barangay-1, Sipalay City.

The incident was reported by a certain Mr Nanie Montenegro, a local resident of said barangay.

Investigation revealed that F/B Ramil departed Sipalay City, for fishing venture at Cagayancillo, Palawan last February 8, but failed to return on the expected date.

Immediately, CGSS Hinigaran made necessary coordination with CGSS Cagayancillo for possible SAR operations. 

Likewise, personnel of said sub-station disseminated information to Hinobaan and Sipalay fisherfolks to be on look out for the two fishermen and their fishing banca and to render necessary assistance and to report to the nearest PCG unit if sighted.
