PCG: The Philippine Coast Guard rendered a Testimonial Parade and Review in honor of the Chief of Coast Guard Staff COMMO BON DAN D CHAN PCG yesterday, March 22 at the Headquarters Coast Guard Ready Force, Pier 13, Port Area, Manila. 

COMMO Chan was designated as the Chief of Coast Guard Staff last January 16, 2017. He was also the Acting Commander of Coast Guard Weapons, Communications, Electronics and Information Systems Service Command (CGWCEISC) from July 2013 to October 2015. Likewise, he has been the Deputy Commander of various Coast Guard districts such as Coast Guard District Western Visayas, Coast Guard District Eastern Visayas, Coast Guard District Palawan and Coast Guard Marine Environmental Protection Command. He was also the Chairman of Technical Working Groups such as the National Coast Watch System, the 15-year PCG Communications Master Plan and the Unmanned Aerial System.

Moreover, COMMO Chan was a Bar Topnotcher for the Licensure Exam for Real Estate Broker in 2005 and a graduate of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class “Sinagtala” in 1986. A proud native of Iloilo, he is a loving father to his three daughters namely Christia Danielle, Hannah Isabelle and Ashley Elizabeth and a good husband to his wife, Maria Helvetia.

Commodore Bon Dan Delfino Chan PCG has honorably rendered service to the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Coast Guard, Department of Transportation for 34 years, 11 months and 14 days.
