Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao (CGDNM) successfully conducted convening ceremony of Water Search and Rescue (WASAR) training of Class 08-2017 last March 21.
Said training was composed of 32 students, one officer, 31 non-officers and Coast Guard Auxillaries.
The purpose of the said activity is to ensure and enhance individual skills of every PCG personnel to conduct of WASAR. The training further aims to develop every Coastguardsman to deliver appropriate service to the community.
The WASAR training is offered by the Philippine Coast Guard not only for its organic personnel but also to different National LGUβs, NGOβs and the private sector for free. All interested about the WASAR training can directly coordinate at Headquarters, Coast Guard Districts Northern Mindanao at Corrales Extension, Port Area, Cagayan de Oro City.
