PCG: 18 officer/crew onboard LCT Marc Jason III departed Tandayag Amlan, Negros Oriental capsized at vicinity seawaters off Montañeza, Malabuyoc, Cebu last March 22.

Investigation revealed from Capt Francisco C Orbita Master of said vessel that LCT Marc Jason III loaded with 1,000 metric tons of fine sand bound to Sta. Fe Bantayan Island Cebu.

The incident report was no casualty. However, the estimated cost of damage to property is still undetermined.

CGSS Bato advised the Master of subject vessel to file a marine protest relative to the incident and likewise advised to hire accredited/authorized salvor in order to refloat said vessel.
