Coast Guard Sub-Station Cadiz personnel and members of the 615th Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron (CGAS) recovered a floating body of a male teen in the state of decomposition along the mangrove area of Himugaan River, Sagay City, Negros Occidental yesterday, April 05.
Investigation disclosed that at 10AM of the said date, ENS ALLEN GONZALES PCGA, member of 615th Coast Guard Auxiliary Squadron (CGAS) reported the incident to CGSS Cadiz.
Immediately, PCG and PCGA joint SAR team proceeded to the incident area and recovered the said cadaver which was later identified by his relatives as Mr. Crismar Argel, 15 years old of Brgy. Cabahug, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental. Accordingly, the victim went on a swimming venture with his friends last 03 April at the Himugaan River when Mr. Argel was drifted towards the deeper portion of the river and eventually drowned.
The cadaver was brought to Shorelife Funeral Homes, Cadiz City for proper disposition.
